Thanks for spending the time to view this, I realize I am a newbie trying to get my feet wet. Now I also want a group setup called "administrators" that can be chroot jailed into the normal, singular FTP share present in OS X server:Ĭhroot webmaster /Library/Server/Web/Data/Sitesīut when I do this, instead it is just giving me the root of the computer.Īny advice on how to set this up via groups would be appreciated. I would like to SSH jail the users because when I sftp, they are allowed to edit all aspects of the file structure starting from the beginning root of the drive. I realize that there is a sshd_conf that might also need to configure, but I'm looking for modularity with arguments like the %u in the previous example. This works for FTP only, and not SFTP (or FTP over SSH tunnel), so I am also interested in doing that for the group "users" setup in the OS X Server.app utility. I was able to accomplish this by adding the following to /Library/Server/FTP/Config /nf: I want the group "users" to be chroot jailed into their respective home folder. The problem is with the FTP built into OS X server for Mavericks. Anyways, I have setup each user with their own respective Sites folder for their user and apache is serving out those files accordingly. Apple timed out my connection, so I lost everything I've written, so I will try my best to retype what I had written previously in the matter.
